What is Paleo?

The Paleo diet is a nutrient-dense whole foods diet based on eating a variety of quality meat, seafood, eggs, vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds. It improves health by providing balanced and complete nutrition while avoiding most processed and refined foods and empty calories.

We choose to follow the Paleo Diet because Aubrey was suffering from chronic inflammation, joint pain, hives, skin rash, brain-fog, fatigue, irregular menstrual cycle, mood-swings, insomnia, constipation, bloating, eye floaters and many other symptoms without any end in sight. Conventional (Western) Medicine could not provide her with sustainable answers, only countless pharmaceutical drugs that cascaded into even more unexplained symptoms. Through sheer determination and faith, she began her healing journey.

Once I was ready to accept the Paleo Diet, I started by incorporating the most nutrient-dense foods available which includes high-quality organ meat, muscle meat & eggs, wild-caught seafood, and copious quantities of organic vegetables. Additionally, daily servings of freshly organic fruit, nuts, seeds, healthy fats, probiotic and fermented foods, herbs and spices to balance meals. Slowly, my body began detoxifying itself of whatever was causing uncontrollable inflammation, servere hormone disruption and swift deterioration of my intestinal lining. Some examples of the potentially inflammatory foods that are eliminated on the Paleo Diet include all grains, corn/corn products, legumes/peas, conventional dairy products, soy/soy products, all processed and refined sugars/oils. ~Aubrey Kwong
